What you receive
A portfolio built and overseen by the person you work with.
How portfolios are built
From your circumstances to a portfolio with a clear purpose.
- 1
Understand your starting point
Your goals, time horizon, risk tolerance, liquidity needs, existing holdings, and broader financial circumstances.
- 2
Define the approach
An allocation and investment approach that fits what the money is for and when you may need it.
- 3
Construct the portfolio
Investments are evaluated for valuation, financial strength, risk and potential return, costs, and their role in the portfolio.
- 4
Review over time
Holdings and allocations are reviewed as circumstances, investments, and opportunities change.
Ongoing review
Ongoing oversight. A considered approach to changes.
Your financial needs can evolve, and so can an investment's potential risks and rewards. Changes in valuation, market conditions, and the investment itself can affect its role in your portfolio.
Mendel reviews holdings and allocations over time, considering adjustments as client circumstances evolve, investment risks and potential rewards change, or new opportunities emerge. Decisions also take diversification, costs, and potential tax consequences into account.
Changes are made when warranted. Maintaining existing investments can also be a deliberate decision.
Your circumstances evolve
New goals, a changing time horizon, or planned withdrawals.
Risks and potential rewards change
Valuation, market conditions, or the investment itself shifts.
New opportunities emerge
An alternative may better fit the role an investment plays in the portfolio.
